Alki Advisory Council and Associated Recreation Council Leave Art Fair

At the debrief meeting of the 2011 Alki Art Fair Organizing Committee, Leisa Rose, president of the Alki Advisory Council (AAC), informed the committee members that the AAC and the Associated Recreation Council (ARC) would no longer be involved with the Alki Art Fair. Without the support of the AAC and the ARC in 2011, the Fair would not have taken place. Saddened to hear this news, especially since the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department ceased their involvement in 2010, members of the organizing committee agreed to meet in September to determine the future fate of the Alki Art Fair.
