The Alki Art Fair organization was officially approved as a Washington State nonprofit organization today. The organization’s Articles of Incorporation were accepted by the Secretary of State and a Certificate of Incorporation as a Washington State nonprofit was issued.

The Alki Art Fair Board of Directors approved the organization’s bylaws today. The Bylaws will act as the guidelines of how the Board of Directors will govern and manage the organization.

Members from the 2011 Fair organizing committee met and resolved to form a nonprofit organization in Washington State and seek 501(c)3 tax-exempt status from the IRS.
