2020 Artist Vendor Application

Hello and WELCOME to the 2020 Alki Art Fair Online Application! There are a number of changes to the application process this year so please ensure you read through the entire application guidance on the previous page. (INSERT HYPERLINK)
  • IMPORTANT: A City of Seattle Business License is required for all businesses operating within the city. If you are accepted into the Fair and do not supply a City of Seattle Business License number on this form, the Alki Art Fair will obtain a tradeshow license for you at a cost of $30 per vendor.
  • IMPORTANT: The UBI number is a 9-digit number is issued by Washington State. A UBI number is sometimes called a tax registration number, a business registration number, or a business license number. If you do not have a UBI, you must obtain a temporary one through the Washington State Department of Revenue before completing the Artist Application. There is no charge for a Temporary Business License. To obtain one please visit this website.
    An emerging artist is an artist who is currently developing their unique style and artistic voice. This special category is intended for artists with little or no experience in exhibiting and selling their work at an art fair.
  • Artist Photos and Statement

    Applicants must submit 4 photos. 3 images of your art and 1 of your booth display. Images must be submitted as .jpg or.gif, using high resolution. Maximum file size is 3MB. Photos MUST be renamed and titled as follows: Your Business Name #1 (e.g. Jane Doe #1), Your Business Name #2 (e.g. Jane Doe #2), Your Business Name #3 (e.g. Jane Doe #3), Your Business Name - Booth (e.g. Jane Doe - Booth). Photos not re-named will be deleted and the application will be rejected.
  • Accepted file types: jpg, gif.
  • The photos for jury and artist statement are to ensure that we have only original, handmade art sold at the Alki Art Fair. The Alki Art Fair reserves the right to use any submitted photos of artwork and booths in future advertising.
  • Application Agreement

    Thank you for your application to the Alki Art Fair, you will be charged a $35 application fee. The Alki Art Fair will contact you after jury if you are accepted and at that time you will be requested to completed a booth payment form.

Booth Types:

The Alki Art Fair is offering 3 types of artist vendor setups (all are Saturday and Sunday).

• Artist Standard 10' x 10' Booth
• Artist Corner 10' x 10' Booth (as available)
• Emerging Artist 6' table under a shared tent

The Alki Art Fair is offering 3 types of food vendor setups (all are Saturday and Sunday).

• Food Standard 10' x 10' Booth
• Food Double 10' x 20' Booth (as available)
• Food Truck space on Alki Ave.

Business License Requirements:

A Washington State business license and a City of Seattle Business License is required for all businesses operating in Seattle. If you do not have a City of Seattle Business License, a tradeshow license will cover you for the duration of the event at a cost of $30 per vendor (which can be paid for with your booth fee).

If you need to obtain a temporary Washington State business license (UBI number), you must contact the Washington State Department of Revenue before completing the Artist Application. There is no charge for a WA Temporary Business License and you can apply for one here.

BEFORE submitting your application, please ensure that you have verified your business license numbers. For City of Seattle business licenses visit this website. For Washington State business licenses visit this website. We cannot stress enough how important it is for you submit correct license numbers.

Each vendor is expected to comply with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding merchandise and sales taxes.

Parks and Recreation Fee:
Seattle Parks and Recreation requires an additional fee per booth - $30 or 10% of gross sales (whichever is greater). This fee is required for any sales on Seattle Parks and Recreation property. A $30 deposit will be charged when you pay for your booth and any remainder of the fee must be paid to the Fair Treasurer before packing up your booth at the conclusion of the Fair. If your sales do not meet that minimum, your will be refunded the difference after the event. This money is not kept by the Alki Art Fair, it is provided to Seattle Parks and Recreation. 

Cancellations:

• Any cancellations after acceptance shall be subject to a 15% cancellation/refund fee.
• No refunds will be given after July 1, 2020.
• Final booth payment must be received no later than May 30, 2020

The City of Seattle and/or the Alki Art Fair organization are not responsible for the loss or damage to any artwork or personal properties. The Alki Art Fair reserves the right to request artists to vacate the premises for any non-family friendly works or behavior.
